Congratulations to fellow progressives Cati Gómez and Chris John, who secured enough votes to continue to the general election in November!

At January 20th's City Council meeting, as Burnsville faced one of its worst crises, Vince Workman, and predatory lender Dan Kealey, both up for re-election this year, responded to citizen concerns about ICE with "no comment."

Anyone who's driven past Burnsville Center knows it's an embarrassing eyesore - a prime piece of real estate at the 35W / 35E split, which should be filled with mixed use development, is now effectively a petting zoo, a food court, and a parking lot 1,000 times larger than it needs to be. It's been fading into blight under two decades of leadership of Kealey, and eight years of Workman.

It's time for change. Vote for Chris John and Cati Gómez for Burnsville City Council by November 3, 2026.

Thank you to my neighbor Dan, who designed my signs and lit, and drove me around on election day for eight hours of guerrilla campaigning with the ridiculously sturdy apparatus he built.

I'm proud of the race I ran. I didn't compromise my principles by campaigning on corporate social media or placing my signs in unoccupied ditches or on sketchy property lines. I lifted the other progressives up, and I don't think I'd change a thing if I had to do it again.

Thank you to the folks at the DFL SD55 and CD2 for your work getting the electorate engaged.

Thank you to everyone who found a note clipped onto one of my yard signs and planted it in their yard.

Thank you to all of the donors who paid for those signs!

I look forward to to the work Chris and Cati are going to accomplish over the next several years, and hope they can get us single-hauler trash care, term limits, and make sure our local police aren't getting tangled up in the federal government's political theater. I know they're going to do good work protecting our drinking water.

I'll still be around - it looks like I'm better at holding power to account than I am at getting elected, and that's fine - there's no shortage of work left to do.
