I'm a grounded progressive running for City Council in Burnsville, Minnesota.
My wife Emily and I have lived here for 15 years and have three amazing children. I'm self-employed, running a successful software business that provides flight alerts to aviation enthusiasts.
This winter, when federal agents were overrunning our city, I was disappointed to see our police responding to calls on ICE's behalf.
At January 20th's City Council meeting, as Burnsville faced one of its worst crises, Dan Kealey and Vince Workman, both up for re-election this year, responded to citizen concerns with "no comment."
It's time for change - please vote for me, Nick Benson, and consider one of my fellow progressives, Cati Gómez or Chris John, in the primary on August 11.
Thanks to my flexible schedule and supportive family, I've been able to accomplish some meaningful volunteer work in recent months:
